Our primary commercial and technical staff is underpinned by our advisory board. With global experience and decades of research, development, safety, regulatory and commercialization of biocidal products, our staff is unmatched. The team you see before you has committed to assisting with advancement of our products. The board will ensure our development efforts remain in sync with effective, safe, and regulatory compliant products throughout their lifecycle. They endeavor to keep Touchpoint Science at the forefront of antimicrobial products in the industries, markets and regulatory environments in which they used.

Dr. Ann L. Andola, M.D.

Medical Advisor

Dr. Andola holds a degree in Microbiology from Cornell University and a medical degree from Albany College. She’s a clinical physician at the Eastern New York Correctional Facility where she cares for a multinational, often underserved, incarcerated population with a wide variety of medical conditions, illnesses, and injuries. She oversees the health and well being of the population and maintains and communicates health statuses during the COVID-19 pandemic.

After 6 years in private practice she sought greater impact in underserved populations and began a role caring for veterans at VA Medical Clinic. Her philosophy of care is to treat individuals as a whole and to spend time understanding her patient’s health issues and goals. Her attention to detail has improved the quality of life and treatment options for countless patients.

Kevin Barrett, CIH, CSP

Kevin Barrett, CIH, CSP

Safety, Health & Environment

Kevin is an occupational safety and health, and environmental (SHE) specialist with over 30 years experience. He is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and Certified Safety Professional.

His broad experience in the chemical industry includes exposure and risk assessment, while serving in both corporate management and as a private consultant. His competencies include work in the EPA FIFRA environment, both on biocides as well as agricultural pesticides and other EPA-regulated industries.. He has extensive experience in risk assessment and product stewardship in these areas. Product safety has been one of his specialties across general industry.

He is presently employed in SHE management for a pharmaceutical contract research organization and continues in SHE consultancy.

Dr. Mark Burt

Regulatory Advisor

Dr. Burt holds a B.S. in biology from Ohio Northern University, a M.S. in microbiology from Idaho State University and a Ph.D. in crop science with a minor in toxicology from North Carolina State University. He was a postdoctoral research associate in the insect toxicology laboratory at Cornell University’s New York State Agricultural Experiment Station.

Dr. Burt has 31 years experience in FIFRA regulatory affairs involving agricultural chemicals and antimicrobials. He has worked for USDA’s Interregional Research Project No. 4 at Rutgers University (faculty rank Associate Research Professor), Montedison USA, Stauffer Chemical Company, ICI Americas Inc., Zeneca Inc., Avecia Inc. and Arch Chemicals, Inc. Dr. Burt is now retired and consults on varying projects within his field of expertise.

Dr. Alex Cornish

Dr. Cornish obtained a Bachelors degree in Natural Sciences (Biochemistry) and a Doctorate from the University of Cambridge. He specialized in antimicrobials and microbial physiology. 

His career spanned over 30 years in R&D in the chemicals sector and he held a variety of positions in multinational companies. These included Senior Scientist at Shell Research Ltd,  Team Leader at ICI Biological Products, Research Group Leader at Zeneca Bocides (UK), International Technology Manager (Avecia Biocides, US) and Global Technical Manager in Material Protection at Syngenta AG (BAsel CH).

Alex is now retired with his own Consultancy Business.

Dave Ogden

Laboratory & Technical Service Advisor

Dave has over 40 years experience of development and application of biocides in many aspects of the industrial antimicrobials business from R&D screening of new actives for paint film and plastics, new product development, test method development and the application of new technologies. He has extensive experience in these areas, and has brought great impact to the global companies he’s worked for, including Imperial Chemical Industries, Zeneca, Avecia, Arch and Lonza.

He has also provided Technical Support advising customers on the use of a broad range of biocides, problem solving customer issues, advising on plant hygiene and supporting customers in many industries across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

As part of the technical service team he was also involved in the preparation of case studies for the regulatory support of the product range for the BPD (Biocidal Products Directive).

Dr. Robert Sloss

Consultant Microbiologist

Dr Robert Sloss obtained his Doctorate on the Biochemistry of Plant Diseases from Imperial College, London University. His career has spanned Technical, Research and senior commercial roles in Multinational companies including Pharmacia , ICI, Zeneca and Avecia. During this time he specialised in Industrial applications of antimicrobial compounds.

These roles included Technical Manager , International Research and Development Manager and Marketing Director He also spent 9 years as Portfolio Manager in a. not for profit, Product development Partnership, IVCC, who’s aim is to develop innovative approaches to control vector borne diseases by targeting the disease carrying vectors. This gave him experience in using donor funding to work with Industrial and academic partners to develop innovative new products.

Robert, now retired runs his own consultancy business.
